‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6 spoilers: First look at Alaric’s possible new love interest
Did you hear that Alaric is getting a potential new love on “The Vampire Diaries” season 6? It’s true, and we’ve got some of the first details all about it today.
In the photo below (via Entertainment Weekly), you can see Jodi Lyn O’Keefe (“Hit the Floor”) in the October 2 premiere of the show. Her role is that of Jo, a doctor at the university hospital at Whitmore College. She and Matt Davis’ character do seem somewhat taken with each other, so we approve.
Really, we figure that we just want to see Alaric stay happy for at least a little while now, given that the last time he was a regular presence on the show, he basically went insane and was then turned into a super-vampire-killing-machine before ultimately being sent to the other side. We’re glad to see him back, even if it does undo somewhat the end of season 3, which was arguably the time we cried the most like a baby while watching the show.
Alaric specifically will be teaching at the school when the show picks back up, which works well in that it puts him directly in the same sphere of at least Elena and Carolina. We imagine that given Elena’s pre-med major at the moment, she is probably going to have plenty of interaction of her own with Jo.
One last thing: What’s with Alaric and doctors? For a while, we also thought that the guy was going to hook up constantly with Dr. Fell when she was on the show.
