‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5: Janel Parrish on taking ‘Dancing with the Stars’ gig

Even though you will get a chance to see more of Janel Parrish on “Pretty Little Liars,” the actress has found another gig for the time being to help fill in her schedule and then some the rest of the fall: “Dancing with the Stars.” She gets a chance to perform to huge audiences every week, and also work with one of the best pro dancers out there in Val Chmerkovskiy.

So why take this job in the first place? This is something that Janel did her best to outline in a new blog post over on People Magazine, which seems to be something that she is going to keep going for most of her time on the series:

“When I found out I was going to be on the show, my reaction came at me in two waves. The first wave was extreme excitement, and the second was extreme nervousness, just because I’ve never done anything like this before.

“Everyone watches you go through your journey, whether it’s up or down, and they see you at every stage of the rehearsals. Doing a reality show kind of makes you feel like you’re naked, but I’m also open to that challenge, because I think that’s why people watch the show. It’s been a really, really fun roller-coaster ride for me so far.”

Parrish says that she did do dance classes as a child, so we imagine based on that alone that she will be one of the better stars on this season. Before you start to proclaim that this is some huge advantage, there have been people on the show with way more experience than this. Put your pitchforks away.
