‘Under the Dome’ season 2, episode 11 preview: A longer look at ‘Black Ice’
Is “Under the Dome” going to be renewed for a third season? This at the moment has remained a fairly substantial mystery, even though there are plenty out there who want to see it happen. The major thing standing in the way at the moment are the ratings, which have fallen more and more as some of the weeks have gone by.
Story-wise, the sneak peek below may give you a little bit of hope, since you get an indication through this Big Jim conversation / speech of sorts that there is a story that is being set up for a potential third season … in the event that the show manages to stay around that long. This sneak peek is almost in a way a mess, given that you get a little tease at a longer story to come, but also not really a whole lot to push forward the story at the present.
Therefore, we feel the need to give you at least one more generic scoop for the episode: The main pull of Monday’s “Black Ice” is seeing what happens when Jim’s actions in part bring Chester’s Mill to a grinding halt courtesy of some terribly low temperatures. It becomes very much a game of survival, and tha twas already hard in this town to begin with. This may ultimately try to force the inhabitants to come up with some sort of escape plan, and then the major struggle from there is seeing if it can be properly executed.
