‘MAsterChef’ season 5, episode 16 preview: See Leslie, Courtney, and more’s family visit

Everyone loves a good reality TV family visit, right? These moments are the ones that do get you choked up time and time again, given that you come to know these people so well over time, and it therefore becomes emotional to see that extension of them.

On Monday night’s “MasterChef,” part of the fun here is seeing how these cooks / personalities react to seeing people who have had a major influence on their lives. For example, you find out who married Leslie! He seems like a sweet man, but certainly a handful almost every second of the day. Meanwhile, Courtney has one of the youngest visitors that we’ve ever seen on such a show in the form of her six-year old brother, who she does not get to see very often due to her moving to Philadelphia not long after he was born.

As for the other family members, you get to see Christian’s fiancee, Elizabeth’s husband, and Cutter’s father and best friend. These all make for super-sweet moments, and we are very excited in the end to see where this episode goes. The cooks will have their family members involved in a way during their mystery box challenge, and we imagine that there will be nothing more demoralizing than having one of the judges tell you off about a dish not being very good while someone who looks up to you is present.
