‘Big Brother 16’ exclusive: Christine Brecht on eviction, Frankie Grande, and disappointment
Last night was a somewhat-predictable double eviction on “Big Brother 16,” and yet at the same time, we were still shocked to see Christine Brecht leave the game. She was many’s pre-show pick to win, and maybe that, coupled with the way she went out, added to the surprise factor.
Before we get into the interview, we have to admit that we’re still pretty uncomfortable about how much booing she got right out of the gate upon leaving the house. Did she do some bad things in the house? Sure, and the whole flirtation with Cody was super-uncomfortable and made us feel bad for her husband. It just feels strange that Aaryn can say and do racist things last summer, Amanda can go off on tirades and say really nasty things, and Christine gets booed worse than either one of them.
In our short exit interview, Christine didn’t discuss most of that, and we honestly didn’t want to ask about Cody since we felt it was discussed elsewhere plenty.
CarterMatt – First of all, how have the past few hours been since being out of the house?
Christine Brecht – Very, very sad. I am disappointed in my self, but hey, what can you do?
Did you think you were going home the moment Derrick nominated you and Victoria?
I absolutely knew that if I didn’t win the Veto I was going home.
Why avoid saying goodbye to anyone in the house? Was it just anger in that moment, a feeling of betrayal, or something else?
As a superfan, I always hated when people hugged the people who just back stabbed them. I am not a fake person in reality, so I couldn’t hug any of them.
Do you think that there is any move you could have made the past few weeks that would have at least given you a shot at making it further in the game?
No, I don’t really think so. Maybe not showing my dislike for Frankie so much.
Finally, how do you feel about your ‘Big Brother’ experience overall? Was it what you were hoping it to be?
Absolutely. This was the most amazing experience I have ever had and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

The biggest surprise to us, based on many interviews, is that Christine seems to think that Frankie is running the show, and if so many people think that, does it really matter that we think Derrick is?
We’re going to have an exit interview with Nicole Franzel coming up shortly, so be on the watch for that. Also, click here for some more “Big Brother” live feed coverage, or here to get more news on all we cover via our CarterMatt Newsletter.

Aaryn didn’t get booed because BB production knew how much the audience disapproved of her behavior and that their reaction would be very, very bad. So they didn’t allow fans of the show in the studio and actually only had staff members in the “audience” so that they could keep things under control. So you can’t compare her situation to Christine’s since undoubtedly Aaryn would have had a worse reaction had CBS not intervened. I personally can’t wait to hear Frankie get booed like crazy!
