‘Criminal Minds’ season 10 spoilers: Backstory for Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Kate

You will start to know Jennifer Love Hewitt’s character of Kate Callahan during the October premiere of “Criminal Minds” season 10 … but only superficially. There is only so much time that you have to get to know a character within the span of just one episode.

So when can you expect to find out a little bit more information? Just look forward to one of the other episodes coming up this fall, where more of her past and the skeletons in her closet will be revealed thanks to a case that reminds her too much of her past. For the time being, all that we can say for certain is that it will involve a plane crash.

So when will some other members of the BAU start to figure things out? There is at least one other team member she may start to confide in … but in a twist, they may actually not be the first person to start to learn some of this information. Cue the dramatic music now!

Clearly, anticipation is high for Hewitt to be a big part of the show, but we will not be shocked at all if there are some early bumps in the road. After all, it is inevitable in a way that there would be. You are bringing someone into the show who was not a part of it previously, and this is one that is almost a decade old already. That is a hard ensemble to crack in many ways, since they’ve already established that chemistry.
