‘The Blacklist’ season 2 spoilers: ‘Phantom of the Opera’ star plays deceptive role

The Blacklist logo any seasonActor Norm Lewis is probably used to playing some mysterious roles thanks to playing the title character on “The Phantom of the Opera,” and now, he is getting the chance to do something fairly similar on “The Blacklist.”

According to a new report now coming in from TV Guide, Lewis will play on the show J.P. Laskin, who has ties to Raymond Reddington (James Spader) through some various business dealings. However, he is not going to be so keen on what is going on with Red and Berlin right now, and there may be a chance for him to switched allegiances.

Will Red find out about this? Probably, and that will make things far more complicated. Let’s just say that we cannot imagine Red being the sort of person you really want to cross or annoy in a million years.

Lewis joins what is already a pretty robust guest cast for the second season, given that we already have the likes of Mary-Louise Parker, Krysten Ritter, and many more all confirmed to appear. This is one of those shows right now that is just a really good landing spot for guest stars for a number of different reasons. You have here great ratings in the 18-49 demographic so there is exposure for your next project, and you also have to go along with it significant quality. You don’t always get that in a network show, where most guest roles are just there to be yes-men for the main cast.

What do you think about Lewis’ casting for the series? Let us know some of your thoughts right now with a comment.
