‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Mr. Selfridge’ star in as Belle’s mom

Want to see some more big scoop when it comes to “Once Upon a Time” season 4? As the title points out, you are clearly in the right place.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Frances O’Connor of “Mr. Selfridge” has been cast to play the part of Belle’s mother in at least one episode of the ABC hit. There is potential that she could return a little later in the season, as well, depending on the direction of the story. You will meet her in the sixth episode of the season, and we know for certain that she will appear during flashbacks. Is it possible that she could also turn up in the present? Definitely, given that they cast an actress who should be able to play both past and present effectively.

Belle’s mom supposedly has an important impact on her life, even more than some mothers would. Many of these scenes may happen before she ever even meets Rumpelstiltskin, which is to us the biggest news of all. We’ve always felt like we needed to see more of this character away from Rumple for her to be fully developed, and this is that great opportunity.

In the present, the big story for Belle is going to be mostly seeing whether or not her relationship with Rumple is at all stable now. Remember that the two’s romance is once again shrouded with deception, given his decision to lie about whether or not he really has the dagger anymore. That should come up at some point.
