ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 spoilers: Nathan Fillion’s Rick, Stana Katic’s Kate, and wedding news!

Are we finally getting close to the “Castle” wedding that you have been long hoping for? It’s starting to look like it.

Throughout most of the sixth season, it looked like Rick and Kate were going to be married in the finale; unfortunately, the finale had that shocker where plans for Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic’s characters were completely thrown into the gutter thanks to the kidnapping. Does that mean that the wedding hopes and dreams are gone for the two forever? Far from it.

Rather, TVLine reports today that there will be, per sources, a wedding for the two characters at some point before 2014 comes to a close. This is big news for fans of the show, and hopefully a relief to those who wondered if this moment was going to be strung along forever.

For those of you who are grateful to have an answer to this key question, remember here that there are still many other mysteries ahead … including the where, when, and how of the big ceremony. We cannot imagine that this is going to be the same wedding that was originally planned, and we wouldn’t be shocked if it happens in some time ceremony at all.

In the end, we’ll have to see where the dust settles, and hopefully, it will be a ceremony that achieves everything that we want it to. The show is going to premiere on Monday, September 29, and the first order of business is going to be resolving the cliffhanger. That is the primary order of business for now.
