‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ spoilers: Matt Bomer open for craziest role possible
“American Horror Story: Freak Show” may still be over a month away from airing on FX, but why not keep the conversation going for at least a little while? This is one of the most-anticipated shows on the fall season for a reason. You’ve got a great cast of people assembled, a cool theme, and potential to make this far superior to the uneven “American Horror Story: Coven” from last year.
One of the reasons to be excited in particular is the simple presence of Matt Bomer. The “White Collar” star has a still-mysterious role on the show, but he’s almost fine with it being a mystery to him. He said recently that he “trusts” Ryan Murphy, and he is definitely open to his brief stint being as wacky and shocking as possible. Just take a look at some of his recent comments to E! News:
“The freakier, the better. Bring it on! … There’s not much out of my comfort zone anymore.”
We imagine that this really must be true, given the wide array of different things that Bomer has done over the years. “White Collar” has given him different accents and costumes to work with, whereas both it and “Chuck” allowed him to do break-neck action sequences. Meanwhile, “The Normal Heart” was an opportunity to show a softer side, and prove that he has some tremendous chops when it comes to drama acting.
Hopefully, we’ll learn some more about this and some big other guest roles coming up in the weeks ahead.
