‘Glee’ season 6 spoilers: Details on Lea Michelle, Darren Criss, and premiere title
Even though “Glee” season 6 may not air for another five or six months (at least), why should that stop us from starting to share some details about what to expect right now?
Per Mjsbigblog, the title for the first episode back is tentatively “Loser Like Me,” which is a very familiar callback to that original song recorded seasons ago. We always found it to be incredibly cheesy, but we’re not surprised that the show wants to reinforce that theme now given the new story. After all, Rachel Berry is a failure now at TV, and she burned so many bridges over on Broadway that she really cannot go back there, either.
The site also claims that the following songs are being recorded for the episode, which seems to be very heavy on the Lea Michele – Darren Criss performances.
- “Uninvited” by Alanis Morissette – sung by Rachel
- “Suddenly Seymour” from Little Shop of Horrors – sung by Rachel & Blaine
- “Sing” by Ed Sheeran – sung by Blaine & the Warblers
- “Dance the Night Away” by Van Halen – sung by Vocal Adrenaline
- “Karma Chameleon” by Culture Club – sung by Rachel
- “Let it Go” from Frozen – sung by Rachel
None of these information really surprises us at all, given that these songs are mostly current, and did you really think the show would pass up a chance for Lea to sing something made famous by Idina Menzel? As for the presence of Vocal Adrenaline in here, remember that Will was offered a job to teach there, and he may suddenly find himself the enemy in some ways.
