‘Ray Donovan’ season 2, episode 9 preview: What’s next for Bridget?

Next week on “Ray Donovan,” we’re going to see a pretty surprising situation. Basically, Ray’s personal and professional lives are going to collide in a way that is so crazy, we haven’t seen almost anything remotely like it before.

Basically, we can describe the story as follows: After Bridget witnessed the shocking actions of Cookie (which could actually make him a Cookie Monster?), she is in a compromising position where Ray wants her to lie. Why go through with this? The simple answer, from his vantage point, is that it helps to protect her … or does it? Does this protect her, or does it protect him and his self-interest? This seems to be the inner struggle of the entire hour.

One thing that is worth noting right now is that we are very much in what we like to call the “home stretch” of the entire season. There are only four episodes left now, and this is where the real shocking stuff can occur. If Bridget does end up spilling the beans on the truth, what happens to her? That is one of the most interesting story threads to watch unfold. You have to wonder whether or not the show could kill off a major character and a child, or if that would be considered too dark for them. It seems unlikely, but we are not ruling anything out right now.

What we are the most excited about is that if you love the way this season is going, some of the best is still to come.
