‘Dancing with the Stars’ 19: Watch the pros prepare now for cast announcement

Most of the summer was a quiet time for “Dancing with the Stars,” but come this week, we’re going to have more to discuss than ever: The cast is about to be announced!

At the moment, there are many names heavily rumored to be a part of the show, whether you are talking about Sadie Robertson, Lea Thompson, Randy Couture, or others. We’ll get a chance within a few days to learn whether or not these rumors are true, and also just who is performing with who. This actually matters as much as anything right now, given that pros have their own fan base, and getting paired with a Derek Hough or a Cheryl Burke is typically better than being paired with a newcomer to the show.

In the new video below via “Access Hollywood,” you can see Hough, Tony Dovolani, and others do their best to prepare for what will be a very crazy season. They have already begun preparing for what comes ahead, and that may also include working on choreography and ideas for what they want to do.

In the end, one of the real mysteries for the show right now, though, is just what the tone of the show is going to be. Conrad Green has departed as executive producer, and went over to Fox’s ambitious “Utopia” instead. Therefore, there could be some other twists and turns this season that are new, and hopefully exciting and worthwhile. With ratings falling, especially in the 18-49 demographic that networks care about the most, the network really does need to shake it up as much as possible.
