Just in case you were worried that “The Vampire Diaries” season 6 was going to completely isolate the Damon and Stefan characters forever, we do come here today bearing some pretty good news: It won’t.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly in a new interview, Ian Somerhalder himself was quick to confirm that he has actually already worked some with a certain co-star of his … though it is unclear just what the context of this work really was:
“I had some really great scenes with Paul [Wesley] not too long ago, like last week … You definitely see some great stuff with those boys. It’s good when they’re not at one another’s throats.”
So what could this footage be? Obviously, we expect Damon and Bonnie to get out of their imprisoned state (wherever they are) at some point before the end of the season, and hopefully at that point we will see the vampire get together with his brother again, and start to move towards whatever the future holds for them.
However, we also would not be majorly surprised in the slightest if the two worked together in the more-immediate future for something along the lines of a flashback, or a dream sequence. That would actually make a little bit of sense, given that there are not too many actual moments in reality where all parties involved are actually getting along with one another.
“The Vampire Diaries” season 6 is going to premiere on The CW on Thursday, October 2, and are going to have further updates long before then. Keep watch for more!
