‘New Girl’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Once Upon a Time,’ ‘Pretty Little Liars’ favorite snags new role

What a surprise: More love interests are coming onto “New Girl”! Clearly, a single Jessica Day means plenty of opportunities for new guys to enter the picture and make things rather confusing.

Per Entertainment Weekly, “Pretty Little Liars” favorite Julian Morris is set to appear on the Fox comedy for multiple episodes as Ryan, the teacher who ends up taking over for Jess after she received the promotion to Vice Principal. He is a very attractive, charming man who she has a hard time steering clear from, and therefore, it’s very possible that the two become romantically intertwined. No word on if Morris is keeping his accent for the part.

In addition to being Wren on the ABC Family drama (despite his lack of a notable presence there lately), Morris is also known for playing Prince Phillip on “Once Upon a Time,” and therefore has quite a following that could get him to watch the show. Ultimately, “New Girl” really needs it. The numbers plummeted throughout most of season 3, and we’re shockingly going to blame that mostly on the Nick / Jess relationship taking some of the fun out. We love the two characters before they got together, but for some reason, the two being a couple just did’t produce the magic that we wanted it to … for now. Maybe that changes later, since we still think they could be endgame.

We are sure that Nick will also have some new love interests at some point, but they haven’t quite been announced yet. Maybe in the near future.
