‘Criminal Minds’ season 10 spoilers: What happens with Blake
Just in case you wondered if “Criminal Minds” was really going to leave you hanging in terms of what happens with the Blake character, here is something that you will certainly find to be good news: They are not planning to do that at all!
Rather, you may be shocked to learn that the show is very much interested in presenting some answers sooner rather than later … as in now. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Erica Messer was kind enough to present a basic rundown of what this character is up to in the wake of leaving the BAU at the end of season 9:
“You’ll learn in the teaser that she’s actually moved to Boston and she’s teaching full time … She’s not an FBI agent anymore, but she’s taking all of her skills and teaching them to others, which is a pretty honorable thing to do.”
We’re happy that there is at least some closure for this character, and she is not just going to completely disappear into a void. We really wish that other shows who make sweeping cast changes would take notice of such a thing, since we know for a fact that it is very much appreciated.
In the wake of Blake’s departure, there will be a new face in the BAU that you most-likely have heard very much about already: Kate Callahan, played by Jennifer Love Hewitt. It is not entirely clear just what her relationship is going to be with all of the other squad members, but it will be interesting to watch.

I only started watching CM 2 years ago, but I now own all 8 seasons (soon to be 9) on DVD. I absolutely love everything about this show, as well as all of the characters, the ones who have come and gone as well as the core group. Whatever it takes to keep this show on the air is fine with me. Prentiss’ character was memorable; the actor decided to leave the show. Case closed; move on. Blake’s character was also good; she also apparently decided to leave the show. Her decision, her choice; again, move on. I enjoyed Jennifer Love Hewitt on Ghost Whisperer and am eager to see what she will bring to the show; her look is already very different just with shorter hair. I am looking forward to Season 10 with great anticipation.

This is sickening. I will not watch w/ Jennifer love Hewitt on the show. This is my favorite show and I watch even now 3 reruns a day. Makes me sick. How could you do this to me?

You have a problem with Jennifer Love Hewitt? I think she’s a great actress and I am in great anticipation to see what she has to bring to the show. Only cast member I think I would be upset to go would be Dr. Reed.. .maybe Penelope Garcia… but even then, I’d still watch, as it’s a great show with some great writing and great acting.
