‘The X Factor’ UK: Cheryl Cole speaks on six-chair challenge
In just a couple of days from now, the new premiere of “The X Factor” will be upon us over on ITV. So what in the world can we expect?
Well, you can at least expect the six-chair challenge to be an emotional experience for one Cheryl Cole. This is the first time that she has been forced to do this part of the competition, which we find to be around a million or so times more grueling than boot camp since it is much more of a straight-up comparison than anything else.
Speaking about this very subject in an interview with the Mirror, the judge had the following to say:
“The six chair challenge was hell for me. I didn’t enjoy it one little bit but as I progressed I got to understand what it was about and I knew that in the end I had to take through the six people I believed had variety and had talent and I could work with well.”
Whether or not these six singers are actually someone good remains to be seen. Remember here that this is the time when the show constantly comes under fire for putting a “joke act” or two through to the next round, even though it’s clear to just about everyone else that they are not anywhere good enough to get through.
Cole is joined on this new season by the returning Louis Walsh, Simon Cowell coming back after years in America, and the newcomer in Mel B, who has also been busy with “America’s Got Talent.”
