‘Doctor Who’ season 8, episode 2 spoilers: All about The Doctor’s question
Is The Doctor really “a good man”? Hopefully, this is a question that we’re going to have an answer to at some point on “Doctor Who” before Saturday’s episode “Into the Dalek” comes to a close.
The thing about this preview that makes the question so effective is that it is one without really a whole lot of a clear answer. Clara cannot tell him whether or not he is good. She has seen Eleven do many good things, and there was a part of her heart that probably sought after him to a certain degree. However, there was also darkness within that man, and that darkness is making itself ever clearer now with this new version played by Peter Capaldi. While it may be at times for the greater good, this is still someone with a whole lot of blood on his hands.
Maybe “Into the Dalek” will allow The Doctor to find some sort of peace within himself, but to be quite honest, we doubt it. Instead, we feel like it is more than likely to just cause further confusion for him, given that he will be battling many of his longtime foes. “Doctor Who” would not be “Doctor Who” without Daleks, and also without there being some constant confusion about the lead character and his overall sense of morality.
We are going to have some further news and updates related to the show later this week leading up to the episode, so be on the lookout for that and more!
