‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Chris Soules officially named over Marquel Martin, Nick Viall, others
It’s finally official: Chris Soules is the next “Bachelor.”
Over a month after Andi Dorfman’s season of the show aired, ABC made the predictable announcement that was clear the moment that he was eliminated from the show: He will hand out roses on the next season to dozens of women seeking a farmer for a potential husband. This marks a return to the show’s pattern the past few years of casting a down-to-earth, “All-American” guy who will win women over with his humility rather than his money or his fame.
Was there ever any real competition? For a few weeks, the network really seemed to want it look like Arie Luyendyk Jr. had a chance, and we wonder if this was all just a ploy to ensure that there was interest in the race on social media. Otherwise, nobody would have cared. While we like Marquel Martin, it was clear he wasn’t getting it the moment that he was cast on “Bachelor in Paradise.” Meanwhile, Nick Viall was hated by too many, even if he did surprisingly when some fans by questioning why Andi had sex with him if she knew that she wasn’t going to be picking him in the end.
We don’t find Chris to be extremely charismatic, but he’s most likely get some media training and figure out how to pop off the screen more than he does right now. In the end, though, what really matters most are the contestants. Regardless of if it is “The Bachelor” or “The Bachelorette,” they are relied on heavily for drama.
For the time being, do you think this is at least an improvement over Juan Pablo Galavis as the show star? Share in the comments, and head over here to get some further news and updates on everything we cover via our CarterMatt Newsletter.

The producer picked him because they see another Sean Lowe. It is safe and it since he already has millions of fan who want him to be the bachelor they producer really couldn’t pass up the opportunity. Also I really like Chris because he seems to be a really nice, down to earth guy, and easy going. It also doesn’t hurt that he is a millionaire as well. I think that the reasons why the producers didn’t pick Marquel had nothing to do with his race but because he seems to be the kind of guy that takes it slow, really slow and they want heated passion. Marquel had no heated chemistry with either Andi or on Bachelor in Paradise.

Yes Chris is an improvement over Juan Pablo. Chris might be a bit vanilla, however, Chris is a nice guy. Anyone would be an better choice than Juan Pablo. Maybe ABC will make Marquel The Bachelor on a future season of the show.
