‘Supernatural’ season 10 spoilers: Exec on Sam’s downward spiral, more
We’ll give the folks over at The CW credit: While they may at times make some very cheesy promotional photos, they are awesome in the department of creating promos.
Take, for example, the latest video featuring “Supernatural” showrunner Jeremy Carver teasing what is coming up for Sam and Dean … and how the former may be suffering and turned into just as much of a metaphorical demon as Dean is an actual one. We already know that Sam loves his brother very much, and as a result of seeing him sacrifice himself in order to ensure that Metatron was stopped, his resolve is going to be there much more than ever right now.
Unfortunately, as a result of this Jared Padalecki’s character may in fact plunge himself into some pretty great darkness, the likes of which he has not experienced in some time. We want to avoid hyperbole, given that the show has been on for so long that our emotions may be clouded by this particular moment. However, at the same time it feels like the show is setting up for one of its most exciting opening arcs to date. We don’t think that the Demon Dean story will last that long and may even be done before the 200th episode is. Still, we hope that it burns bright for however long it does happen to be around.
In case you missed it, take a look at what some awesome fans did to commemorate the milestone episode recently.
What do you want to see from Sam on “Supernatural” season 10, and how badly do you think he and Dean will be shaken from all that happens to the two of them? Share in the comments now, and head over here to secure some further TV scoop on all we cover right now via our official newsletter.

Seriously? Why does Sam have to go darkside in order to show he loves Dean? Why can’t San be heroic and loving and smart and badass at the same time while not going dark? Let Dean be all dark and Not!Dean for 3/4 of a season for a change. Let him be the problem that needs to be solved. Or create the problem that needs solving. AKA aparently as the mytharc.
And give sam 1) POV, 2) friends Real friends not fake ones who read a book and think they know him or talk out of both sides of their mouths 2) his own damn car. Give him something that is completley his own.
While i love the brothers….Sam needs one positive relationship in his life…if the writes need to seperate the boys too create one…do it.
And i’d like to see Sam kill Crowly. He may be the devil we all know…but he has killed, has killed, tortured or had tortured enough innocent people and loved ones.
Its time to stop putting up with Crowly and start putting humanty and innocent people and families first. Remember the Winchester motto used to be Hunting things, saving people. Not making evil our besties and making excuses for them.

I will say no one more time what I want for Sam. Won’t come back and see reactions to my comment! I really get upset then and almost see red! So I bow out after I am done!
I want for Sam
-insight in his decisions he will make+ emotional Background (it is essential)
-want to see his smartness as hunter again
-bonding with People (if not why doesn’t he bond WHY WHY WHY)
-showing his boundless love for his brother
-saving Dean
-killing evil sons of bitches (CROWLEY)
-finding out that Castiel let him out of the Panic room and the voice mail was changed
-his side of the coin has Impact in the story
-watching him struggling with decisions (Moral compass)
-Men Of Letters LEGACY =Sam
-that he is treated as human with Feelings and emotions which are essential for a human being so I want to see it onscreen
-driving the impala
-they Show him being a good brother
-he stops damage when humans are involved
-they Show Sam in a flasback what happened to him after Dean made a trip to purgatory
So, this is something to look Forward to! See, NO MYTHARC for Sam here!!!
Bye, and thanks the writers for asking this question about Sam! :)

They already showed what happened when Dean went to Purgatory.

Do you mean like how Sam is always blaming Dean for all his bad decisions? Because truly Dean has never blamed Sam for anything, while Sam keeps blaming Dean for everything, including when he gets bad breath and hangnails. Sam has never been able to accept responsibility for his own actions and the show never allows him to. Sam gets away with murder, yet the show glosses over it and plays it like Sam’s the hero. I think you got the blame game a bit mixed up. Sam skates while Dean pays is more like it.

Yip, another season of what’s wrong with Sam, and Sam is going dark, again. Like, the last 5 seasons wasn’t enough. Of course if there’s a whiff of a story for Dean, Sam must also have part of it and of course while Dean’s story lasts barely 5 episodes, Sam’s lasts for years.
Carver really doesn’t realize that Dean is an actual character in his show, does he? Carver always waxes poetic about Sam this and Sam that, but it’s always Dean Who?
Isn’t it amazing that Sam can never actually spend one season doing what his brother has done for him for the past 9, which is take care of Dean and actually be about Dean instead of always about himself? Oh yeah, I forgot, it’s Carver Dean Who running the show. Blah.

Since the Story is about both it appears only Logical that they are both involved! the brotherly bond is the third character!
Dean’s Story was always good exectuted and well thought! So it is very easy to go with him as main pov character! It’s a gift for you you should more appreciate that if you really love the character!

Again, what story?

Blame Sam for everything? Are you serious? Dean blames himself for everything in the whole damned universe! And exactly what love does Dean ever get? He’s constantly told he’s dumb, insignificant, unimportant, etc.while everybody says how smart and special Sam is.
As for Dean tricking Sam into the angel possession, yes he was very wrong to do that, but despite what you seem to think, he did NOT do it because he’s this awful selfish prick, he did a wrong thing out of desperation. He has ALWAYS loved Sam more than anything! And he’s proved it over and over!
You want a storyline for Sam that shows his POV. Guess what? We Dean fans just want Dean to have a story at all! Sam almost ALWAYS gets all the main storylines! And oh look, here even this demon story that was supposed to be a big arc(finally) for Dean is gonna be over after 3 episodes and it will become all about Sam. As per usual.
Big deal that Dean has a few friends( and where all all these friends? Last time I checked he had exactly TWO). Since everything else has always gone to Sam, can’t Dean have something? Wait, I already know the answer. You want Sam to have it all and Dean to have nothing.
I will never understand why Samgirls can’t be his fan without constantly hating on Dean.

Because if Dean has a story of his own, he can’t be all about Sam, and of course that’s the only reason Sam fans think that Dean was born for, to take care of the problematic and infinitely juvenile Sam who can’t seem to take care of himself while at the same time dissing and demeaning Dean to make himself feel better. We had Sam’s POV, many times. It’s basically “I’m perfect and Dean’s a loser”

The article was out 2 days before! Now suddenly the Mytharc!Dean army Pops out of nowhere!

There is no Dean mytharc army. I was responding to you and Zamboni’s hatred towards Dean. If anything, the ESG Deanhaters are the ones coming out of the woodwork. All I’m doing is responding. So, you guys can hate on Dean and I can’t defend him?
Dean hardly ever has anything that’s about him. You bitch and moan about Sam not having POV(which, I have seen his POV plently) but I say what you really want is for everything to be all about him. Well, any story Dean has ever gotten is either about Sam or Cas, NEVER about Dean. And you guys constantly put Dean down.
I like Sam. I want him to have a bit more POV. What I don’t understand is, why can’t Samgirls make their case without always putting Dean down?

“So, what do I expect for Sam Winchester in Season 10 of Supernatural? I expect Sam to get a real story from his perspective that viewers have FULL emotional access to. Anything less than that, and I hope Jeremy Carver walks away from SPN at the end of this season, because he’s certainly done enough damage to the show already.”
THIS!!!! SO!!!! MUCH!!!!
I don’t think I’ll go that detailed like you did, but I want to apllaude!! All this captures what I criticize and what I would like to see! Treat Sam as the character he deserves to be in a Show of 2 Brothers! Their legacy, the “Canon” should get the respect, it deserves IMO! It actually degrades the whole Background, their history!
It makes not only Sam mysterious, the everlasting scapegoat, the whipping Boy for everything, it also makes Dean unauthentic!!!
Why I am still commenting? Why I am still here? Because my inner horizon, my heart, my Soul connected with the characters, with their bond, and especially with Sam. I made quite a Piece of legerdemain to still feel this Connection to a character who is so neglected and poorly written since years!
I want for Sam Scenes with others, where we get insight in him, I want to go with Sam his path down, I want to see him not loosing his ethics, his Moral compass, I want to see Sam’s smartness, his compassion, his damage from WHAT HE WENT THOUGH, I want to see Sam saving Dean, trying to get him, as he should have done in 8.01! (cursing silently here to myself), a heroic, determined, smart, light and dark Sam

Again, how in the hell is the character who the whole damned show has always revolved around the neglected one?
You guys are just upset that for once, everything wasn’t all about Sam and Lord knows we can’t have that!

Ain’t that the truth. Dean can’t have a story, because Sam needs a nanny and Dean’s it. Dean’s not allowed a story, only Sam is, and his have been done so many times, they have become redundant, and boring. Maybe it’s time for Sam to act like a brother, instead of a self-absorbed brat he’s played for 9 years.

Oh no, this is not the case! Dean can have the myth arc for the rest of the Show. Now what? Give Sam insight and Show us his side of things, build his POV up! That’s what I miss! Also, EK had something in mind when he created the series! It is his Vision! I would be more than happy if Sam gets this Kind of Attention Dean has gotten for years!
I say it again….Dean can have the mytha rc for the rest of the series!!! So ….and now?
What I also want to see is the Brothers as Team against evil, not one brother judging the other countless times.
Winchesters =Team up against the rest!
Sam gets a good friend! Someone who stays as recurring character so we get Scenes with them and insight in Sam.
That’s all, do you have something against my wishes?
