ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4 spoilers: Kerry Washington and tiny teases

“Scandal” has become a sensation, and that has in turn allowed to make Kerry Washington into one of the biggest red-carpet darlings out there. She is nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award, and she was also present for E!’s pre-show interview Monday.

Speaking about the show to Ross Mathews, Kerry for the most part did of course adhere to the recent Shonda Rhimes “no spoilers” policy, but did remind us that “there’s going to be a lot of Abby this season,” which should be a lot of fun for fans of the relationship between those two characters. It has always been complicated, and we expect those complications on another level when the story picks up this time around.

Meanwhile, Kerry also joked in the interview that one other benefit of being on “Scandal” this time around is simply the issue of not having to carry with her giant bags everywhere. Thanks to no longer being pregnant, the show does not need to continue making enormous accommodations with their camera work all of the time. That did become a running joke on social media, but the great news for Kerry in the end is that it never ended up compromising the overall quality of her performances.

The great news now for “Scandal” fans is that the start of the new season is only a matter of weeks away. You will be able to see Olivia and company once against starting on September 25 in its brand-new timeslot of 9:00 p.m. Eastern, which is earlier mostly to account for “How To Get Away with Murder” airing at 10:00.
