‘Royal Pains’ season 6, episode 12 preview: The many surprises of Hank

What are expecting to see soon on “Royal Pains”? Well, think of it as a few things that may make you rather surprised.

First of all, Charlotte is finally going to be able to see her boyfriend for the first time! The corneal transplant will have been a success, and this is a big step forward for her relationship with Hank. Will it last? That is what we’d be worried about right now, given that his personal history is not too good when it comes to commitment, and their relationship could always change now that the process has started.

On a different note, there may be a guardian angel now to save HankMed from its current situation, which involves a souring relationship with Ray and struggles to keep their business afloat: Boris buying the hospital from Symphony! He certainly has the money to make it happen, and he even offers all of HankMed a chance to be on the board. The problem? Hank seems to be none too interested here.

What is the reason why this is not working out so well for him? That’s a complicated question, but it may tie into the fact that he may enjoy his sovereignty at HankMed, or not wanting to be in something close to a hospital environment again. Whatever it is, the rest of his staff seems to be somewhat clueless about his decision … and they’ll be wanting answers soon enough. There’s only one episode left this season beyond this one, so those same answers could be coming soon.
