‘The Mentalist’ season 7 spoilers: Talking about ‘Pink Rocks’
You probably guessed this one without us even writing another word in this article: “Pink Rocks” is an episode title for “The Mentalist” season 7.
This title was confirmed by Technical Adviser Karl Sonnenberg in a post on his Twitter, and it is written by Tom Donaghy and directed by Michael Nankin. For those looking for their “Mentalist” history, Donaghy has not been credited yet for a full episode of the show, and has previously worked on “The Whole Truth” (which he also created). Meanwhile, Nankin is also new to this show, but has done a ton of work on such programs as “Hell on Wheels, “Black Sails,” and “Battlestar Galactica.”
So basically, we are going into some uncharted territory when it comes to the primary people behind this story, but that may be a good thing. They are both accomplished, and can keep the story fresh.
As for the title, we’re not a fan of it yet. We don’t always care for the color theme when it produces names that feel a little too obvious that they are playing up to this theme. “Green Thumb” and “My Blue Heaven” are examples of how it can be used effectively; meanwhile, “Black Helicopters” is one that still drives us somewhat insane. Maybe this will have more of a meaning to the story as we start to find out a little more information.
New episodes of “The Mentalist” will premiere on CBS at some point in 2015, and we will hopefully have further news soon!
