‘The Newsroom’ season 3 teaser trailer features Will McAvoy drama and more
We teased a while ago that the first teaser for “The Newsroom” season 3 could premiere before the series finale of “True Blood,” and that prediction turned out to be correct!
HBO unveiled the first-look preview of the Jeff Daniels series prior to the start of the vampire drama’s finale episode, and it definitely appeared to be cryptic. You had hints about a court case, Will McAvoy having to face some serious accusations, and more. Above anything else, though, this was meant to highlight the scripts of Aaron Sorkin, and the reminder that this was the final season.
Unfortunately, there is still no word yet on when exactly the final season will premiere … other than November. This does play into the theories that the show will begin once “Boardwalk Empire” is over, and there is no real reason to promote the show too much just yet.
We’re hoping that this season contains almost everything that we love about the show and then some, including some character developments, serious drama, and also of course news. What makes “The Newsroom” so interesting to us is the subject matter, and also how HBO goes about implementing it into the broadcast.
Hopefully, there will be some further news related to the show very soon. With us getting closer and closer to the premiere, that is when there will probably be some more video footage shown off. Remember, though: Given that the final season is only 6 episodes, there is not a whole lot of motivation for HBO to reveal everything about the story. It’s not like the show is looking to boost the show’s success at a renewal or something.
