‘The Amazing Race: Australia vs. New Zealand’ episode 4 preview: Emily & Jono vs. John & Murray

Amazing Race -Who knew that Monday’s “The Amazing Race: Australia vs. New Zealand” would actually be just as much of “The Amazing Race: New Zealand vs. New Zealand”? While the Aussie teams are all off racing and trying to get ahead, it looks like at least a pair of the Kiwi teams could get a little closer to coming to blows.

Based on the previews that we’ve seen for the upcoming episodes, a showdown between John & Murray and Emily & Jono is at this point imminent, and it all stems from comments made during the Roadblock last week in Thailand. John and Jono had it out over whether or not snide comments were made, and then John decided to keep him from getting the Express Pass. Really, it just proved that some people (looks at John) take a TV race far too seriously.

But do things actually get violent between the two parties? We’re going to say that the jury is still out on that one. The preview certainly made it look like there was a physical confrontation, but these are the sort of things that can look far more violent than they really are when the show actually airs. With that being said, we haven’t really see a good moment of two people from different teams beating the snot out of each other. Could be a race first.

Other than this, the next leg is going to take place in Africa, and we will give producers some credit right away here for going to a different location every episode. Then again, this version of the show is giving you a smaller episode count than the other seasons have, and also have fewer teams. There’s not a lot of time to wait around!

We’ll have our full review for this episode up after it airs, so be on the lookout! You can also sign up if you want to snag some more TV updates on everything we cover via our CarterMatt Newsletter.
