‘Downton Abbey’ season 5: Michelle Dockery lands new role away from show
Michelle Dockery has already made it clear that she is never leaving “Downton Abbey” under any circumstances, so if you are worried at all about her future on the show right now, you can use that to breathe a little easier.
With that being said, we do still have some more news to report on the subject of what else she may be up to away from the show. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dockery will be joining Elisabeth Moss in the upcoming “Queen of Earth,” a psychological thriller that is coming up from Alex Ross Perry. The two women will play old friends who, after a lengthy period of being disconnected from each other, end up heading to a beach house together. While there, the two manage to uncover all sorts of surprises.
For all fans of TV, this could be a special treat given that there are not a whole lot of opportunities to see two of the most popular women in the medium actually spending a little bit of time with each other on the big screen. Dockery will have a pretty sizable break on her hands coming up after filming the show, while Moss is adding to a very busy schedule with this. Remember, she is also rumored right now to be taking on one of the other lead roles in the upcoming second season of “True Detective.” (However, we’re still waiting on HBO to confirm that before saying a whole lot else.)
