‘The Bridge’ season 2, episode 8 preview: Diane Kruger, Demian Bichir, and ‘Goliath’
After tonight’s super-strong episode of “The Bridge,” it is fair to say that we’re not more excited about the rest of the season than we have been in a very long time. Sonya learned some devastating truths about both Hank and Jack Dobbs, and this has her questioning now what it really means to be an officer. She still wants to do the right thing, but is she the only one?
Maybe the title of next week’s installment, “Goliath,” is an allusion of some sort of the fact that she is battling giants with dark secrets, while she wants to be inherently good despite her inability to cope sometimes. If you want to get some further details now in terms of what you can expect, we suggest that you just check out the official synopsis via FX:
“Dark secrets from Marco’s past are uncovered. Meanwhile, Eleanor’s loyalty is tested.”
True, this is not the most revealing in the world … or really even that revealing at all. We are intrigued to find out, though, if Eleanor can break free of Fausto Galvan and be herown terrifying creature, or if the secret from Marco’s past somehow ties into what is happening now to David Tate. We know that he wants revenge, but this is not justice and it is sure not bringing his son back from the grave.
We’re worried about many characters, but the feeling that we have in our hearts overall right now is one of grief. Why? For the first time, we feel like the show is back in the right place.
