‘The Newsroom’ season 3: See Olivia Munn, Thomas Sadoski take ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Even though “The Newsroom” is over, some of its cast members are very much still a family. For some evidence of that, all you have to do is check out one of the latest videos below!

We start here with Olivia Munn, who had been challenged quite a few times recently to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, a remarkable little social-media trend for a good cause that we even took part in earlier today. She posted her video, and not long after that challenged her co-star on the show Thomas Sadoski along with Jeff Daniels and everyone she is working with right now on “Ride Alone 2.”

While Daniels has not responded yet, Sadoski has with a video that contains both the challenge and also an passionate plea for others to give to an ALS charity. On “The Newsroom,” Sadoski plays Don Keefer, the producer who becomes a romantic interest for Munn’s Sloan on the second season. (We are very much hoping that this remains a story thread going into the third season this fall.) Sadoski concluded his video by calling out Sarah Paulson, Sarah Silverman, and NFL player Donte Stallworth.

In the end, it’s hard to say anything negative above these challenges at all given how they are giving so much extra press to organizations that rarely receive this sort of attentions. Millions of dollars have been donated, and it doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon as more and more people are starting to become aware of it.
