‘Celebrity Big Brother’: Gary Busey (and hopefully his mechanical dog) join Stephanie Pratt

While we don’t typically cover “Celebrity Big Brother” extensively (mostly because there are only so many hours for crazy reality TV programming in a day), that might be changing courtesy of the news that Gary Busey is going to be entering the house on this coming season.

For our money, Busey is the stuff of reality TV legend: A complete mess who manages to be entertaining in spite of himself on many occasions. He’s like Stephen Baldwin to us, except quite possibly even more insane and without some of the self-awareness.

As good as this show may be, it will have a very hard time ever matching the pure chaos that we had from Busey on “The Celebrity Apprentice” the last time that it was on the air. Despite being virtually ineffective at almost everything, Donald Trump inexplicably kept Busey around far longer than most qualified celebrities until there was finally no other choice besides firing him. He also starred in what may be the best / worst commercial of all time featuring LG products and a mechanical dog.

The problem with Gary is that while we are completely engrossed with everything that the man does, we imagine him being almost impossible to live with. This is going to create some really ridiculous (and also really crazy) television.

As for the rest of the cast, we’ll be honest: They are mostly people you haven’t heard of unless you are British. Heck, you might not have heard from all of them even if you are British. The only name that stands out to us is Stephanie Pratt, sister to Spencer Pratt and former star of “The Hills.” She hasn’t even done anything in a long time.
