‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6: See Nina Dobrev’s ALS Ice Bucket Challenge (on a yacht)

In the words of Nina Dobrev’s Instagram, “If you’re gonna go in , you gotta go ALLLLLLL in. #ALS.” This is how she introduced her own inclusion in the Ice Bucket Challenge, the viral videos that are spreading like wildfire around the internet.

The star of “The Vampire Diaries” can at least boast right now that she certainly did an ambitious entry, pouring a bucket of ice on herself before diving into the ocean. Do we expect that to be as cold as ice? Probably not, but the ocean is always much colder than anyone expects before jumping in it, and you’re in there for a whole lot longer.

For those of you new to these videos, the Ice Bucket Challenge is a way to raise money and awareness for a disease also commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig’s. This campaign has cost little to no advertising from a financial point of view, but has still managed to raise millions of dollars more than in previous years without it. We even made our own entry earlier today.

One of the other traditions of the challenge is calling out at least three other people to do the same or make a donation to an ALS charity like Project ALS. Nina called out her friends Julianne and Derek Hough, in addition to stylist Riawna Capri. Given that the Hough siblings in particular have done many of these viral videos in the past even without them being for charity, we imagine that we will be seeing one of them here soon.
