‘Teen Wolf’ season 4 spoilers: Episode 10 gets early airing before VMAs

What's next? -Clearly, MTV is still thinking smart from a marketing point of view when it comes to “Teen Wolf.” They want as many people to see their show as possible, and they also want to take advantage of the 2014 Video Music Awards airing on Sunday, August 24.

This is where we come bearing some more good news. You’re going to get an episode a day early! MTV has confirmed that “Monstrous,” the tenth episode of the season, will air prior to the VMAs on the 24th at 7:00 p.m. Eastern time. This is a chance for the show to get higher ratings, and expose an even larger audience to something that is already the most-watched scripted show that they have.

The only argument that we could have understood for the show not airing the episode at this time would be if MTV realized that there is value in giving another show a shot. They could have put on a newer show like “Faking It” to expose new viewers to it who may not be familiar, but you cannot really blame them for sticking to an extremely known quantity that has a fanatic audience. Who’s going to complain about getting a new episode more than 24 hours early?

One of the crazy things to remember here is that after “Monstrous” ends, there is only a tiny bit to go until season 4 is at an end. While season 5 was given another massive episode count, the show kept things simple this summer to give the cast and crew a little bit of a break.
