‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 spoilers: A welcome bit of Queen Elsa relief
While we love “Once Upon a Time” very much, there is a problem that has arisen out of it over the past several seasons: The family tree is almost too complicated for its own good, and it seems as though every major guest star is somehow related. First, we had the big news that Peter Pan is really Rumpelstiltskin’s evil father out to cause problems, and then Zelena turned out to be the older sister for Regina that she never knew about.
So are we going to find out on season 4 that Queen Elsa is actually Emma’s long-lost cousin, or that Kristoff and Robin Hood were secretly siblings who were separated at birth? It doesn’t seem like it. Speaking to TVLine, executive producer Adam Horowitz tried to distance himself from this sort of speculation by saying that there are at present no plans to twist around the family tree this coming fall:
“We will go on record as saying that we are not going to reveal that, for example, Elsa is somebody’s sister.”
With all of this being said, we do very much believe that we are going to still see plenty of other connections between the characters from “Frozen,” and the ones that we have already come to know on the show. This is the way the world works! You also know already that Rumpelstiltskin has some sort of connection to the Snow Queen, based largely on the fact that he had trapped her, and that is where the story ended in the season 3 finale.
