ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4 spoilers: Showrunner on David Clarke’s return, more

On Sunday, September 29, “Revenge” season 4 will be back for new episodes, and there is also going to be a great opportunity to have some major stories finally addressed … including how in the world David Clarke has managed to re-enter the world of the show after being presumed dead.

Will he stick around? Given that James Tupper is now a regular, you have to assume so. However, don’t expect everything about this character to be revealed right away. Speaking to TV Fanatic, showrunner Sunil Nayar teases that this is going to be a sort of story that takes its time before coming to a boil, rather than just something that will explode straight out of the gate:

“It’s a bit of a slow burn. There’s so much that we want to slowly mine and we want our audience learning who David is along with our characters in some ways, so we didn’t feel like burning off a lot of the story because we have some wonderful story to tell, but it’ll be a slow burn. You’ll get your answers in sort of little bits and pieces, where he’s been and what he’s done over the last ten years.”

As for whether or not Conrad Grayson is alive or not, don’t worry about the show keeping you waiting forever to get answers. All will be revealed when it comes to this particular cliffhanger when the show returns on Sunday, September 29. Get excited now!
