‘The Flash’ spoilers: Grant Gustin, cast on Felicity, Barry, and Iris
Could there be a love triangle blooming on “The Flash” moving forward? We know that the show has certainly set up a good one for itself. You’ve obviously got Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) as the lead, and he has a longtime connection with Iris West (Candice Patton). However, there’s also a certain someone from “Arrow” in Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), who he had a natural spark with almost from the beginning the two parties met.
So will this story be paid off? It certainly looks like it, per the latest cast Q&A video below via Comic-Con. We imagine that this is going to be something that takes a little bit of time to sort out, and the fact that Felicity is a regular on another show will probably make things even more difficult.
For the show, though, the biggest challenge is going to be making sure Barry and Iris have some pretty comparable chemistry almost right out the gate. We’ve already seen him with Felicity for at least a solid stretch of time, so we know what the standard is there.
Felicity will be heading to Central City within the first handful of episodes of the season, and this will not be the only crossover between the two shows at some point during the upcoming season … especially if the ratings for “The Flash” are great and it is handed a full 22-episode season.
The new season is going to premiere on Tuesday, October 7, so be on the lookout for a whole lot more before that time.

Felicty (EBR) has chemistry with everyone she encounters with. I remember one comment from an old thread saying “she looks good with everyone…a damn lampshade will look cute with her”.

I agree with you Jake. She is just one of those rare actors, but I really don’t want her on The Flash for good. I am sorry but she belongs on Arrow with Oliver. It is just too cutsie with Barry. Cute is ok for a while, but I want passion and angst. That is on Arrow. I really like how different she is from Oliver. Opposites attract!
