‘Mistresses’ season 2, episode 10 review: Did Joss and Scott take the next step?

Mistresses“Mistresses” took a little while to get going this season, but now that it has the delicious drama just won’t stop! Let’s see what happened this week.

Savi: Savi tells Dominic she went to see her dad so that she could ask herself those hard questions he wanted her to analyze. She realized that she choses men in her life that always “needed” her, but Dominic was different because he was “together” and didn’t need her. She realized that Zach being broken was why she wanted to help him, so she needs to learn how to be with someone that just wants her and doesn’t need her.

Dominic asks Toni to keep their night together a secret and she agrees that she doesn’t want gossip like that following her to the new job. Instead of going to the “new job” (which clearly doesn’t exist) Toni files a complaint with the partners against Dominic saying that she is being sexually harassed by him. Anything to get Toni to the top right? Since this is not the first time he’s had relations with a subordinate (Savi) they are looking deeper into the complaint. Toni tells Dominic that that because he was the newst partner he was the easiest target and now that the ground work has been laid, any touch from Dominic will be an easy set up for a firing.

Savi finds out about Dominic sleeping with Toni the way everyone else did and is heartbroken. Savi and Dominic finally have an open honest discussion about Toni, Zach, Harry, their relationship, and everything and they realize that their relationship never had a chance. Looks like it’s the end for these two… is Savi going to try to get Harry back?

Karen: After Anna’s break down with Karen, she thinks she’s strong enough to go to work, but another break down has her paralyzed and she calls Karen for help. She learns that Anna is living in a dump and sort of takes her into her house and her life. So what’s going to happen with Jacob now that this relationship with Anna is growing? Jacob tells Karen that he loves her and she’s decides not to hold back with him anymore.

Joss: She is meeting Scott’s whole family and although she wasn’t nervous at first, Harry freaks her out after the worst pep talk in history.  Harry can’t stop thinking about his talk with her and calls her to apologize to her machine. So did Scott’s mother like Joss? She did and said that she has never seen her son so happy. This freaks Joss out since she realizes she’s so deep with Scott and his family now. She leans on Harry and he says all the right things that make us want the Joss and Harry end game even more! As it turns out, Scott wants Joss too and he asks her to marry him… and she said yes. Is this the end for Harry?

April: The man that is following April finally reveals himself and he’s with the FBI looking to talk about Paul. She learns that Paul’s working for a drug lord as a computer hacker in exchange for a new identity after he faked his death. He wants her to use Paul to find out more information so that they can nab the top dog since Paul won’t help. Karen’s conspiracy theories get April wound up that her phone is bugged and after hiring a private investigator she learns that her home is bugged. When April goes to the FBI to find out why her house was bugged, she learns that Daniel is also in the FBI.

This season of “Mistresses has gotten better and better as the season goes on. The Joss/Harry “will they, won’t they” relationship is so good, and now that Scott has proposed, it will be interesting to see if Harry will step up. Episode Grade: A-
