ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 spoilers: About ‘Clear and Present Danger’
While there may not be some enormous “Castle” season 7 scoop breaking this weekend, sometimes a little bit of scoop is better than nothing!
What we have today falls into the episode title department, and what is interesting about it mostly is that this is the first title that we’ve actually seen for the new season so far. The third episode of the season, per sources, is going to be referred to as “Clear and Present Danger.” This is the episode written by Chad and Dara Creasey, and it is also the episode that will feature a guest appearance by Chad Michael Collins. (There’s a lot of Chad in this episode!)
This is going to be an interesting episode to us, given most of the conversation stating that the first two episodes of season 7 will be tied together, and also linked to what happened to Nathan Fillion’s Rick in the season finale. This could be an opportunity for the first standalone case of the season, and we hope that there is a little bit of fun attached to it for that very reason. After getting through this super-serious arc, we could stand to have a few more episodes where we kick back and laugh a little.
The Creaseys previously wrote “Smells Like Team Spirit” and “A Murder Is Forever” for the show, and also have producer credits to their name. For those who haven’t heard, new showrunner David Amann is taking on script duties for the premiere, while creator Andrew W. Marlowe is handling the second episode.
While it may be too early to ask whether or not you like the episode, do you at least like the title right now? Share in the comments below, and head over here to get some further TV news and clues on all we cover via our official newsletter.

Could it be Vic Vaugn? He wanted(a) Beckett, he knows about the fragile nature of the Caskett relationship,he has more than enough finances to pay for one time use of a new Cadillac Escalade and he has the ingenuity to come up with such a scheme. Even if he is the guilty party it is time to stop setting the time clock back 2 years in the Caskett relationship and move forward by kissing and making up. We do not need a reoccurrence of the so-called backstory (I call it “The Stall”) later in the season because it is incongruent with moving forward. The only reasonable cause would be to identify the responsible party and solidify the Casket relationship.
