‘Glee’ season 6 spoilers: Will new faces minimize Lea Michele, cast’s impact?
Earlier this week, some news broke from the “Glee” world that was both surprising and somewhat polarizing at the same time: There are a number of new high schoolers coming to the show! These students will be the new McKinley class, and will at least have a little bit of screen time.
With that being said, are they the new stars of the show? Don’t count on that per se. While the show has been extremely tight-lipped on how these characters (which you can see more of at the link here) are going to fit in with the rest of the series, we cannot imagine the writers deciding to make the show about an entirely new group of people in the last season. Think of them more as supplements, and necessary components in order to ensure that the proper story gets told.
If we were to really sit down and predict where we think the “Glee” story is going right now, we would say that these newcomers could be the group that tries to start the glee club back at McKinley High, and the regulars like Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, and Darren Criss could return to Ohio in order to make sure that this happens. Given that it looked like they were on their way to success at the end of season 5, maybe they will be able to use a little bit of star power to convince some school boards to give this another chance. After all, what we do very much know about season 6 is that arts education is going to play a heavy theme.
What do you think: Will these characters impede on the cast that we already know and care about? Share some of your thoughts on the subject in the comments, and head over here to get some further news worth singing about now via our CarterMatt Newsletter.

The perfect ending for me is that all originals characters stories be finished with a good final and Rachel and Sam are the coaches of New Directions (Marley, Unique, Ryder, Kitty, Jake, Bree, Spencer, Mason, Madison, Roderick and Jane) vs Will coaching Vocal Adrenaline. And the final scene a New Directions reunion with a mix of all important moments of the characters along the series ending with the Rachel, Mercedes, Artie, Kurt and Tina singing Don’t Stop Believing remembering Finn next to them like in Season One .

Marley, Unique, Ryder etc are all long gone. There is a time jump because, believe it or not, people don’t graduate high school and come back to teach (or even coach glee club) without a degree.

I personally hated the new class and thought the new, more adult story lines, which included New York and the cast just generally growing up, were much more compelling.

It seems like they are making the same mistake as they did in Season Four by bringing in new people when most of the fans of the show wanted to see the original cast. In season two they started moving away from the originals by giving the Warblers so much time and all the guest stars. At least Jonathan and Idina had pertinent storylines. The rest were add on’s. I knew they needed a boyfriend for Kurt, but they didn’t need the Warblers. Ryan should have just trusted the original cast.
