‘Ray Donovan’ season 2, episode 5 preview: Mickey gets interrogated by Cochran

So who goes to prison: Ray Donovan, or his father Mickey? This is something that will be at least partially on the forefront for the next new episode of the show.

As you can see in the video below, Mickey is going to be subject to a pretty hard interrogation from someone who clearly wants to cause as much chaos for the family as possible: Cochran. We’ve already seen him try to play hardball with Liev Schreiber’s character, and it cannot be took big of a shock that he would choose to also do so here. He’s a man with very clear demands, and one of them is getting the information that he finally needs; unfortunately, neither father nor son is really that willing to budge.

If we were Ray, though, we would be extremely wary of anything Jon Voight’s character does for one simple reason: This is not a guy who likes to be told what to do, and he’s a snake. Anytime you deal with a guy like that, you really have to assume that trouble will follow him. However this story goes, it’s not going to lead to good things … unless of course you like good performances. Voight was nominated for an Emmy for this role for a reason, and he is projected by many to be a favorite. We’ve loathed Mickey at times, and one of the reasons why is because he plays the part so very well.

Hopefully, there will be some great twists and turns tomorrow, and that will give us a whole lot more to write about the rest of the season.
