‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ spoilers: Sarah Paulson on snakes, new season

Even though “American Horror Story: Freak Show” doesn’t premiere for a couple more months, why not have some more fun now via Sarah Paulson? Given how terrifying some of the scenes on this show, it is nice to get a little bit of humor from time to time.

With that in mind, let’s turn to Paulson’s recent appearance on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” While she gave a two-word tease on the upcoming “Freak Show” season, most of the interview was spent focusing a little more on some of the absolutely-insane things that the producers for the FX show have forced her to do so far. This includes her having to do a sex scene while also being surrounded by snakes, and her also having to pretend to breastfeed her real-life friend Zachary Quinto. Pretty messed-up stuff, overall.

What we know about the upcoming “American Horror Story” season is that Paulson will be playing two roles in Belle and Dot, who have the challenge of being on the same body. Complicated, no? There are going to be some very clever camera tricks involved in making sure that this happens, and that Paulson can play both of these personalities in an interesting way.

While there is no firm premiere date just yet, it feels fairly safe to say that the show will be back on the air around the middle of October. It typically starts back up at around a similar time as another show with Halloween-esque themes in “The Walking Dead” (though the one on AMC tends to have more massive ratings).
