‘Graceland’ season 2, episode 9 preview: ‘Gratis,’ and Mike’s big risk

“Graceland” season 2 is starting to wind down now, but we cannot say the same thing for the action that is actually a part of the show. Next week’s new episode is entitled “Gratis,” and you can expect to see a whole avalanche of action ahead.

If you like this show for its moments where you start to wonder whether or not characters are going to survive, you will have it here and then some. Specifically, we would watch out for Johnny and Mike at the moment. Both have gone through quite a bit already, but thanks to some deep covers and negotiations, their delicate houses of cards could start to fall apart. (Sadly, these are not the same houses that Frank Underwood could help with.)

“Johnny meets the head of one of the most dangerous drug cartels in Mexico and pitches him an alternative means of trafficking drugs, while Mike is forced to cover up a horrific crime while deep undercover in a sex trafficking ring.”

The latter story to us is probably going to be the most difficult to watch, mostly because we want to believe most of the time that these people are heroes … and we do feel by and large that they are working with the greater good in mind. It just doesn’t feel like it at times when they do things that are nearly impossible to endorse or celebrate. Let’s just hope that what Mike does leads to a worthy result.
