‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 5, episode 9 preview: Could Jane become a foster parent?

If you already watched the episode of “Rizzoli & Isles” that aired on TNT last night, then you are probably aware that there are some very tough times ahead for Jane. In some ways, this is all the sad truth about how life can be unfair: Jane did an incredibly heroic thing on this past episode, but the violence that she experienced as a result will have major consequences.

Is her unborn child okay? We cannot confirm things one way or another, but the fact that she is in the hospital on next week’s “It Takes a Village,” coupled with the official synopsis below, doesn’t make the prognosis look very good:

“Mummified remains of a woman put the team’s investigative skills to the test. Jane works from her hospital room as she, with Maura’s and her family’s support, seeks to recover from a devastating loss.”

This is definitely not the most revealing synopsis ever released by TNT, but it basically tells you almost everything you need to know. It would have to be devastating for her to lose this child if that really happens, and somehow, she will have to live with the reality of that situation.

Is there still something unexpected that could come from this in the end? The promo does make it look like Jane is going to consider becoming a foster parent after everything that she has gone through, so maybe her eyes have been opened to another way in which she can share her love.
