‘Covert Affairs’ season 5, episode 8 preview: Problems, conspiracies in ‘Grounded’

“Covert Affairs” has dealt with many a conspiracy and a complication in the past, but something tells us that the show is still going to find a way to go to another level on next week’s new episode “Grounded.”

The great news? It’s an opportunity for Annie and Auggie to spend a ton of time working together again. Unfortunately, the not-so-great news is that there is also going to be something terrible that they have to work on, since it throws them into issues related to CIA security. This will not be the only thing that transpires in the episode, but it certainly is what is catching our attention the most right now.

“A reliable source spurs Annie and Auggie to dig deeper into a conspiracy theory that shed light on an attack on the CIA. Joan and Calder are forced to make a difficult decision.”

Hopefully, this episode will contain everything we want when it comes to story, but also push these two closer together than they’ve been. We understand that McQuaid has had a thing for her lately, but we all know who Annie really should be with … right? We know that we’re a bit of a biased ‘shipper in that department, but still. Luckily, there are still plenty of episodes this year for interesting things to unfold, and we’ll just have to wait and see if they will whether it is this summer, or when the series returns later.
