‘True Blood’ season 7: Anna Camp on Sarah Newlin’s big choice
Often throughout the several seasons of “True Blood” to feature Sarah Newlin, there is one thing that we know about her: She’s typically quick to flee. The most insane thing that we’ve seen her actually do other than run and hide is kill someone with a heel … before running off to hide.
So to see her actually not disguise where she is something a little different, and that is what we are going to see from her moving forward in the next episode with Eric Northman and Pam.
While Anna Camp is not going to be one to give everything away, she did say the following to TV Guide about what was running through her character’s head:
“I see the cars pull up, and I actually end up deciding to sacrifice myself … I believe that I am the new Messiah, and the best thing to do is to tell the truth and to go out there and just surrender.”
In the end, we really do have a hard time seeing how in the world Sarah gets out of this without any further problems. She may be able to use her powers as a “Messiah” for the greater good of all vampires, but does she really expect to be worshipped as some sort of god to these people? That’s just not going to happen, especially when you have Eric holding a pretty massive grudge over all of the terrible things that she has done. It’s going to take a lot of convincing just to ensure that he doesn’t kill her outright.
