‘Mistresses’ season 2, episode 9 review: Will a Joss and Harry hook up happen?
It’s been two weeks since our last new episode of “Mistresses” (you can thank the 3 hour finale of “The Bachelorette” for that), so we have been hungry for more to say the least.
Savi: She’s convinced that Dominic is ready to get back together after giving her the last muffin at work. Savi tries to run away with Dominic to Costa Rica, but Dominic puts the breaks on that saying that she can’t just skip over her feelings and needs to dig deep about her feelings to make sure that she wants to be with him. Savi thinks that some of her commitment issues (and relationship sabotage issues) comes from her broken relationship with her dad, so she decides to talk to him.
While Savi is trying to figure out her issues, Dominic accepts a drink with Toni when she gets another job offer. While they are out Toni tells Dominic that Savi didn’t sell the house and he’s upset that she didn’t tell him since the plan was to sell the house and get a place together. In a fit of anger Dominic sleeps with Toni.
Karen: Now that Anna knows about Karen and Jacob she thinks that Anna will no longer want to see her, but she comes to a session anyways and tells her that she lied to Karen about everything she’s ever told her, including the fact that that she was an escort. She says that she doesn’t trust Karen since she abandoned her at the hospital and wasn’t going to tell her anything further. As Karen digs deeper she finally gets Anna to open up to her about her failed relationships and why she tried to kill herself.
April: Paul calls April and tells her that he might be serving some jail time, so that she can be prepared to tell Lucy if it happens. She gets very worried that whoever is looking for Paul will also be looking for her and when a man starts lurking around, her imagination goes wild.
Joss: Scott confronted Joss about having feelings for Harry and although she denied it, the look on her face reveals that we may have our Joss/Harry shipper dreams coming true. Scott’s words have definitely planted a seed in her head about Harry and she sets her friend up with him to push him away. Instead it opens up a dialogue with Joss and Harry where she tells him that Scott worries that they spend too much time together so she thought Harry dating someone else would help that. Harry has a look on his face like maybe there’s something more there for him as well.
We have been waiting for an episode like this! Love the Joss and Harry angle that’s happening and we hope that’s it’s going to be a nice slow build for the rest of the season. It will make for a juicy story line that this season really needed. Episode grade: A –
