‘The X Factor’ USA: Hear Alex & Sierra’s new song ‘Just Kids’

This is turning out to be a big past week or so when it comes to “The X Factor” alum and new music coming out.

Recently, we talked about the likes of Amelia Lily and Union J from the British version of the show. Today, we’re here with another new song from Alex & Sierra off of their upcoming album “This Is Us.” This new song, which is a part of the October 7 and available as an early download for those who pre-order the album on iTunes now, is entitled “Just Kids.” It continues the streak of fun, catchy songs that they presented with their first single “Scarecrow.” Our impression is that this isn’t meant so much to be a radio single; however, it’s yet another way to get publicity for themselves and the upcoming album.

Speaking about the song to People Magazine (who were the first to share it online), Sierra Deaton of the duo had the following to say:

“It speaks to the fact that even though we’re going through all these crazy new experiences, we’re still just a couple of kids from Florida who love to have fun and play music together.”

The two are still seeing their first single rise up the Hot AC charts, and it feels right now like the one thing that they really need above all else is some sort of great placement in a trailer or on a TV show. This is the sort of thing that was a major aid to Phillip Phillips and “Home,” and their songs are universal enough that they should appeal to wide audiences.
