‘The Leftovers’ episode 7 preview: ‘Solace for Tired Feet’ and a Justin Theroux focus

During Sunday night’s new episode of “The Leftovers,” we mostly learned the story of Nora Durst, and how she went from a devastated woman and a figure of sympathy to someone who actually started to find some sort of self-reliance again. Her agreeing to date Kevin was a step in the right direction, even if this man is probably even more of a mess than she is.

For all of you who do like Justin Theroux’s character more than anyone else on the show, you will be pleased to know that “Solace for Tired Feet” next week is going to put the focus primarily on him again … and the same goes for all of his family. We’re even going to see a new side courtesy of his own father at some point during the hour.

“After learning his father has escaped the psychiatric hospital, Kevin (Justin Theroux) orders an APB to track him down. Jill (Margaret Qualley) attempts to break an endurance record. Holed up in Indiana, a disillusioned Tom (Chris Zylka) makes an unsettling discovery.”

There is not that much left in this season right now, and that leads us to one very interesting question: Where are we heading? Is this story going to try and wrap itself up, or set itself up more for the future? There is no season 2 renewal just yet, but HBO does tend to prefer seeing their stories through.
