‘The X Factor’ notes: Ella Henderson’s new single; Simon Cowell – Tulisa news

Would Simon Cowell really take Tulisa back on “The X Factor” this year? We’ve found the magnitude with which this story has spread to be hilarious for so many different reasons, but mostly just the way in which the British press tends to salivate for almost anything and everything that has to do with this show.

Rumors started that Simon was going to hire the N-Dubz singer as the “fifth judge” on the show after this quote from him came out in the Sunday People:

“Tulisa’s been through a rough time and has come through it. I think she deserves a break now. I think she’s got a lot of opportunities ahead of her.”

First of all, this is just a nice statement from Simon, and not some indictment on the future of her career. Also, this whole “fifth judge” rumor is still the silliest thing ever. There is no way the show is going to stick someone else at that table. There is already way too much time spent on famous people talking on this show, and not enough on the contestants who really matter when the dust settles.

Ella Henderson’s new single – On a different and more positive note, great news today for Ella fans! The former contestant’s upcoming single will be entitled “Glow.” This is the second off of her album, and Ella is currently proving that you don’t even have to appear that close to the finale of the show to be a huge star. Simon knew what he could have with her, and he was patient in allowing her to grow as an artist before launching her career. Now, “Ghost” is a smash hit throughout the UK.
