‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7: Charlie Hunnam’s Jax, a skull dominate latest poster
What is “Sons of Anarchy” trying to convey with their poster for the final season? That is probably up for debate, but the one thing that we can say is this: It looks awesome.
Basically, you have the ultimate Jax Teller / skull hybrid, and we take this most to mean one thing: This is a shell of a man now. Charlie Hunnam’s character is riding his way towards a dark end, and unless he turns this around, he’ll probably end up as nothing other than a pile of bones.
This poster also proves further that “Sons of Anarchy” is one of those few shows that can get away with not actually putting the full title on the poster, and still everyone will know precisely what it’s for. There is no other show like this, and we feel like there’s really never been a show that combines so much action, darkness, and Shakespearean tragedy.
When season 7 premieres, we know that life for Jax is going to be in a pretty dark place. He’ll be behind bars, and he will have also given up any real pretense of trying to be a good person. Instead, he’ll be much more focused on trying to just execute his plans by any means possible … and that includes hurting anyone who gets in his way. We feel very bad for whoever he views responsible for murdering Tara … especially if he ever finds out that it was Gemma who literally put a fork in her.
The show returns to FX on September 9, so you better start bracing yourself now.
