‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5, episode 9 video: Lucy Hale’s Aria and an interrogation
Is Tanner one of the more unlikable characters within the “Pretty Little Liars” world? We think so, but only for the simple reason that she is one of the only few detectives to ever visit Rosewood with any sense. She’s good at her job, and asking questions that can get her closer to major answers.
Unfortunately for Aria, this is not good news. In the sneak peek below from Tuesday night’s episode, you can see Tanner start to seemingly grill Lucy Hale’s character about her relationship with Ezra, even though she is supposedly there to talk about the break-in at the Marin residence. Clearly, Tanner is starting to get that there could be further connections here between Aria, Ezra, and Shana, which may help to make things clearer when it comes to New York. After all, it’s not going to take long now before things start to really get testy … especially if Sydney ever spills the beans about what Drunk Hanna said to her. (Yes, we’re establishing Drunk Hanna as a different character than Sober Hanna.)
In the end, the only saving grace for Aria in here is that she has parents willing to protect her, and there are enough other people who may help her with a cover-up. We certainly cannot see her going to prison for the rest of her life, but we certainly could see her in a police station at some point. It’s feasible that she could be named a suspect, but at the moment it’s hard for anyone to fully prove that she is the guilty part here, especially given the way in which Shana was found.
