‘The X Factor’ UK 2014: See Cheryl Cole, Simon Cowell in teaser; no premiere date yet

Even though we would assume that “The X Factor” UK would be premiering on ITV at some point over the next several weeks, the folks over at the network are still being rather cruel in the department of not wanting to give us an official premiere date yet. However, they have still released a brand-new trailer that may get your blood pumping!

This clip, which features Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Cheryl Cole (which we’ll continue to call her despite her wedding to prevent confusion), and Mel B all holding court with their respective “armies” of singers, makes the show almost appear like a remake of “Braveheart” or something. Still, the “x” imagery at the end is pretty powerful, and showing Cheryl in the forefront should be a great way to remind you that she is back on the show.

Right now, we understand the need to invest a ton of money into this franchise, given that they do really need a big audience to get people hooked on the show again. The ratings have declined over the past few years, and getting both Simon and Cheryl again on the same panel was not an easy affair. The one thing that the series may have going for it is that without the American version around and with “The Voice” UK continuing to fail at producing big stars, this show may still have the leg up when it comes to headlines. If nothing else, it does still draw all sorts of attention across Britain.
